Veselin Demirev

As one of the most prominent Bulgarian-born violinists of his generation, Veselin has established himself on the international scene for more than two decades. As a soloist he has performed to critical acclaim with orchestras in Bulgaria, Israel, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, USA, Japan, Austria, Hungary, and Holland. Veselin’s career as Concertmaster began at the age of 21 in Sofia, Bulgaria and since then he has held this position with orchestras in the USA, Spain, and currently in Aalborg, Denmark.

As a former Professor of Violin and Chamber music at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, it is important to Veselin to pass on his knowledge and musical experience to younger generations and he is frequently invited to teach masterclasses, and serve as a jury member of violin competitions. Mr. Demirev appeared live in numerous radio broadcasts both in Europe and the USA, and has recordings on the “Gasparo” label in New York, “Well Tempered” in San Francisco and the “Balkanton” label in Sofia.
